How A Ghost Among Us came to be

A Ghost Among Us consists of 5 very talented musicians in the Killeen, Tx area. Dani Blizzard (vocals), Zak Clarke(drums), Trevor Gates(lead guitar), Sammy Peters(bassist), and Rob Camac(rhythm guitar).
The band formed in February of 2011 when Dani moved to Killeen with her boyfriend, Zak. She thrives on music and decided it was killing her not being in a band and writing music. Zak agreed that he would love to play drums again and that's when the search began. After searching for a few weeks she was finally contacted back by Trevor. With no delay, Dani and Zak met up with Trevor one evening, and after a short audition it had been unanimous between them. Trevor could play classical, rock, metal...There wasn't anything he couldn't play, and if Trevor wanted to form a band with them, he would be accepted with no qualms.
They worked for 3 months on creating a new sound; music that spoke from their hearts and lyrics that spoke from the soul, all the while hunting for a bassist and rhythm guitarist.
At the beginning of May they got a hold of bassist, Sam Peters a.k.a. Sammy. He was more than just a bassist, he could play piano and guitar. He was everything a bassist could be, creative, talented, and spunky. Again, it was unanimous. They wanted him, and after he heard their sound, he wanted in the band as well.
The night of Sammy's audition he went with the band to record their third written song, Dream Girl. The song itself came out a success, and after that night it was official. Sammy was 4th member in the band.
A few days later they all went to guitar center to look around at equipment. They walked in a heard a guitarist jamming out. Trevor approached him and sparked up a conversation. Minutes later Trevor called Dani over and whispered that she should listen to how he plays. Perhaps they'd have their rhythm guitarist! Dani introduced herself to Rob, and listened intently to his playing. He definitely wrote music that fit their style and he had a very dedicated attitude. They left guitar center, and it was decided that he would come to A Ghost Among Us' first show on May 14th and see if he liked their music style.
Rob helped unload equipment, set up, run to get extension cords, and jammed out in the crowd during the show. That's what made Zak, Trevor, and Sammy decide to choose him as their guitarist. Dani had her doubts. It wasn't until he showed up to the first practice knowing one of the songs that he had only seen performed twice at their show that made Dani decide he was the best rhythm guitarist for the band.
A Ghost Among Us is more than just about writing music. Every song written has been inspired lyrically by true events, and every riff written expresses a different emotion that they couldn't convey with words. A Ghost Among Us expresses themselves in the best way they can, through their music.
